The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo
The Q Revo is an excellent choice if you're looking for a mid-range mop and robot vacuum. It has a great mopping capabilities, but is lacking some of the advanced features found in its more expensive sibling.
In the course of testing, it was able to handle dry oats and dust on carpets with medium piles and pet hair on hard floors. It does not use LIDAR, however, as cheaper models do to identify your home.
1. Roomba S9+ from iRobot
The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is among the most highly-rated robots. It has impressive cleaning power and a variety of features such as the self-emptying dirt container built into its charging base. This robot can recognize your habits of cleaning, and suggest automated schedules to provide you with a truly hands-free cleaning experience.
The iRobot Home App guides you through the setup process. Once the system is setup it can begin automated cleaning with a single button click. You can choose an overall clean that focuses on getting rid of larger pieces of debris such as rice and cereal or two thorough mappings of your home to ensure that your home is properly arranged.
This robot vacuum is effective on both bare floors and carpets with low pile. It is able to pick up pet hair and clean large objects up. It doesn't lose suction as quickly as other robot vacuums. It has a difficult time with carpets that are high-pile or plush, but iRobot says that future models will be better.
The S9+ is a new design from iRobot that concentrates on improving corner and edge cleaning. It's the very first Roomba that has flat-fronted D-shaped designs. The company hopes that this will allow it to be able to hug furniture and walls. It's a significant improvement over hockey puck-shaped robovacs that are common, but we found it only marginally superior to circular models.
iRobot also claims the S9+ comes with an advanced filter system that prevents tiny dust particles and allergens from recirculating within your home. It's a nice premise, but we're not convinced it's enough to justify the premium price tag.
Its smart navigation system employs a combination of sensors to keep track of your home's layout, and vSLAM technology to map the interior. It then cleans your entire home with ease by avoiding obstacles like stairs and other barriers. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and set virtual boundaries so that the robot can determine the areas that require attention.
2. Roborock Q Revo
Roborock Q Revo is a machine that combines vacuuming and mopping. Its vacuum settings are just as good as those on higher-end models. And its mopping system is superior - its spinning pads scrub floors better than an ordinary pad that vibrates.
It's only downside is the absence of a second brush to allow for deeper cleaning. But that's not a big deal when you're looking to purchase one of the top robots on the market. The dust tank on the robo-vac is larger than many of its competitors. Filling it up only takes two or three times, even when you've got a lot of dirt.
For the mopping device, I was impressed by its ability to scrub off the tough dirt off my floors. Its two lowest mopping modes that are less abrasive than the high-powered ones, produce very little noise, which allows you to work or even watch television without interruption. shark robot vacuum and mop will gently bump into a wall or furniture and move on whenever it comes across one.
What really distinguishes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to operate almost autonomously with very little need for user intervention. The dock of the robo-vac is multifunctional and will automatically move garbage into a bin hidden. It also washes, dries and refills the clean water tank. The app will only alert you if something is wrong for example, the water tank being empty or a cancelled vacuuming session due to an empty bin.
You can also design and merge rooms to modify how the Q Revo treats your abode. This feature is useful if you have different flooring in different areas of your home or when you have to frequently clear out clutter such as toys, clothes, and books. The robo-vac is also very efficient and was among the top performers during my tests, removing debris from both carpets and hardwoods on the first pass. It is able to even vacuum up wet spills, though I recommend wiping them dry using a clean cloth before bringing the robot in.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni
The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd want from a high-end robot vacuum and mop and more. Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+, it comes with a powerful vacuum with a powerful suction that cleans carpet and hard floors, plus the mop's rotating design that can scrub tough stains. It also comes with self-cleaning bases that automatically empty and cleans the mop pads, keeping them free of germs and ready to use again. It also has a new sensor system that can better detects obstacles, giving it the ability to avoid falling over furniture or other objects.
The biggest improvement over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that this version is sleeker and more modern design due to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for Bang & Olufsen products). The robot is still quite large. It has a height of more than two feet the height and depth and weighs nearly four pounds. However the robot as well as its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo and iRobot J7.
This version is also more efficient than the X1, as it charges faster and can handle a complete cleaning of around 1,500 square feet on one charge. It also has a bigger and more durable dustbin that can hold more debris. This makes it easier to empty.
Finally, the X2 Omni has a more intuitive app as well as voice assistant that operates offline, so you can manage it even when not home. It also comes with more mopping options and an intelligent routing feature that allows you to clean certain rooms or areas of your home instead simply following a predetermined path.
The Omni X2 Omni has the best mopping performance of any robot we've tested, because of its mop pads rotating to clean tough stains away and a motor that generates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is excellent, and it increases suction when it detects carpets to ensure thorough cleaning. It also has a massive battery that can last for several weeks between charges and its mopping mode is as powerful as anything we've seen in an ordinary robot.
4. Dreametech L10s Ultra
The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a premium mop and vacuum robot that comes with a host of features that you don't often see on robots of this price range. It is able to build detailed floor maps, identify different types of flooring and is one of the few robots that automatically wash and dry its mop pads. These are nice features, but they also place the L10s in the luxury category. This might make it more expensive than homeowners need.
Designed to resemble a modern floor cleaner, the L10s Ultra is a tall and slim machine with an elegant white finish enhanced by mirror plating and silver elements. The front of the machine is dominated by a large bumper, which protects furniture and the vacuum from damage when moving through the house. Sensors are concealed behind the front panel, which helps the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.
On the top of the screen, you'll find a single button that essentially acts as an on/off switch. The button will activate the vacuum. If you click it again, it will turn it off and transmit it back to its base station. The circular menu located in the center of the control panel lets users to select cleaning options as well as schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons will open the settings of the app where you can customize how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.
The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination of LIDAR and cameras-based navigation technology to map your home. This helps the robot vacuum and mop effectively without getting stuck. The LIDAR helps the robot vacuum avoid obstacles and recognize them and avoid them, which is a great feature for homes with pets or children.
The L10s Ultra is a powerful vacuum cleaner, which removes 98.4% debris from our test on hard floors, and getting rid of all but the most stubborn juice staining. Its mops are also quite efficient, removing 98.4 percent of debris from our tile, wood, and carpet tests. It wasn't as effective in removing sand from our hard floor or quaker oats from the carpet.
